This component of Route Factory Spreadsheet is a tactical planning tool used to divide a customer region into geographical "territories". Each territory is a contiguous area containing the customers that will form a single route, or a regular pattern of routes, over a week or other time period. Features: • Better division of workload - Territory Builder can find equal-workload territories even in difficult conditions, such as applications with "lumpy" customer demand. • Territory optimization - Territories are created and shaped to minimize total travel. • Depot locations - The central depot or terminal can be anywhere within the region, not just the center. • Territory layering - The final solution can contain several layers of territories forming concentric rings about the depot. • Delivery Days – Territory workload computations consider the “days-of-week” specifications of orders. |
